Time-management as a New Year's resolution. by Russhell - January 2016 Scholarship Essay

As the New Year enters in, there is a significant amount of resolutions clouding my mind. Resolutions can be time-consuming, but there are resolutions that bring an exceptional amount of change. Correlating my resolutions to my educational journey to build me as a better student, can develop an extraordinary combination. Developing an improved time-management, can form me into a better student in 2016.
Time-management plays an important role of succeeding in any educational-related program/institution, but it is also known for the one of the most difficult role to improve on. Time-management brings a collaboration with the mental and physical parts of our bodies. Time-management reduce procrastination & stress, and improve awareness & efficiency. Giving duration of time on projects and activities can help me stay focus on a particular assignment. That process can give me additional time to do pastime activities. When having the awareness of what’s going to occur at a particular time, can helps reduce stress and gives time for preparations. Knowing previously an assignment or a project’s due date can build efficiency. This allow me to focus on a project or activity in a particular time, creating an enhance performance.
In my educational journey, time-management was not a problematic issue until I enrolled into my local early college program. In the beginning of my program, I had a difficulty of balancing my courses and extracurricular activities. In the process, my grades were unsatisfactory and I developed a decreasing performance among projects. Understanding the pillars of time-management, such as obtaining a planner, giving a certain duration on projects, and etc., I excelled in majority of my aspects of my educational journey. I believe in the idea that time-management needs constant improvement due to the constant flux of adding and removal of projects. Time-management should be functional and different for different individuals. Personally, I can correlate my time-management to my circadian clock. I can discover in which part of the day I perform better. Based on my normal observations, I perform better in the morning and afternoon, so I can relax toward the evening. An improved time-management would give me sufficient capacity to incorporate any additional projects into my day. Continuing my educational career, I am going to persistently develop an improved time-management to my fit my environment.
In conclusion, time-management is a critical resolution that creates me to become a better student in the year of 2016. Time-management will also enhance many particular features in the benefit of my educational journey.
