Hello my name is Ricardo Figueroa. Throughout my life there has been a special person in my life that continues to encourage me in everything I do, especially with school. It is my awesome Mother, she always wants the best for me and wants me to continue to be a better individual. Throughout my childhood, I remember when my Mother would stay up late with me to help me finish my homework. She even hired a personal tutor when she did not have time to help me because of work.
It is a great feeling to do well in school and make my Mother proud. During high school my Mother seemed more attentive with me regarding school. She would occasionally ask how I am doing in my classes, there were times I had a difficult time comprehending the content. One of the core classes I struggled with was math. On average, I was about a B student during high school.
There was a time during my senior year, I was taking trigonometry, and I had a D in that class. I talked to my Mother about my math class, she said to go to study hall and receive one on one help with the teacher. My Mother continues to set a good example for me. By the way, my Mother is developing her own business. Thank you Mother for everything you do.
