Leadership is the one thing that moves this country. Being a student in college is something that people strive for since they are young. In this country we are taught many things but two stand out to children moving on in life. One is to strive to reach college and the other is to never be a follower, always be a leader. Living in this world we have to always been the “kids to change” everything and that starts right after high school.

When we are told that we need to be in college we know that it is going to be challenge but we know that to get to the point in our lives that we want we have to lead ourselves. When we are told to be leaders it’s the most important thing we need to keep ahold of. Leadership skills are important in college because they will help you achieve greatness.

Leadership skills like communication are very important to be successful in college because if you can’t communicate with teachers or other students then you will be alone and not able to go ahead of the game. When you are in a college setting with a bunch of students who all together are just people in a room to the professors, and you move to the side and let other people take leadership you will get forgotten. When you take charge of a situation you will shine in college and will be able to get ahead for yourself.

College is not a place for followers, it’s a place to stand out. Without leadership skills you won’t be as successful as you could be. You will fall into a sea of people and not stand out or get noticed. Being Successful in college is mostly about standing out. Being a leader in college is number one attribute that people in the real world will look for.
