Peer Pressure by Rebecca - March 2017 Scholarship Essay
Everyone in school understands Peer Pressure and a school wide audience should hear more about it. Everyone can fall to the dangers of peer pressure and make bad decisions. As kids there is a choice to fall to peer pressure or not fall in the trap. It seems that many people tend to fall into this trap everyday. I would like to have a speech about peer pressure to help the school-wide audience to make the right decisions.
Peer Pressure is something we all fall into or try to avoid the trap. Everyday more and more people will make unwise decisions in High School such underage drinking, do drugs, and skip school. Friends are some of the reason for peer pressure and you don't have to do what they do. Some people will avoid falling into peer pressure by knowing what's right and wrong. If you can tell the difference between right and wrong, you can avoid doing things that are immoral. Peer Pressure is a deadly trap and people need to avoid it.
Peer Pressure is an issue that can't be ignored because of the dangers of certain activities. If you're friends drink or go to house parties to get high, you can decide to follow their decisions. That decision is bad or good and in the end you have to pick the right decision. Many teenagers will leave school if they don't wanna be in class and this bad decision can impact their education. You don't have to join your friend in skipping class and being in class is the right decision. Doing drugs is a huge Peer Pressure issue in students lives because drugs are illegal and you have the choice to not do the drugs or do them. Make the right decision in all of these cases and don't let the Peer Pressure get to you.
Peer Pressure is a required topic to be discussed in a speech to a school-wide audience. Many people will fall to Peer Pressure because of their friends and these activities are quite dangerous to anyone. Some examples are drinking, doing drugs, and skipping schools are things many people can relate to, but these are decisions from peer pressure of friends. A vital lesson of Peer Pressure is there's no need to succumb to what bad activities you're friends decide to commit and do the right thing by avoiding Peer Pressure.
