The Real Cancer Cure Association by Niharika - February 2020 Scholarship Essay
Nowadays, many people in this world are struggling to survive from a specific disease called cancer. Since the past few decades, cancer hasn’t just rapidly increased, in fact, It is the second-leading cause of death in the world. Envision if you were in fourth stage, drowsing on a hospital cot, starting to feel like you will be leaving this world tomorrow, and tears starting to come out though your eyes are closed. Ironically, the doctor pops into your dream and says “Great news! You survived stage four cancer!!” That news would be the best thing you could’ve ever heard, it is efficient than achieving 1st rank at your school or even choosing a wrong career.
In this world, there are unpredictable numbers of people who wish these dreams come true. If I got an opportunity to start a nonprofit organization, my first priority is to see the beautiful smile on cancer people by creating an organization called TRCCA as The Real Cancer Cure Association, which would help cancer people to make their dreams come true. However, this organization wouldn’t just perform fundraising events, compiling donations, motivating cancer people, or have a volunteer take care of them, but also, it could give a massive amount of gratification to the volunteers who dedicate themselves for the cancer people’s survival through TRCCA. This organization could at least help generate some/many cancer people to have faith in themselves that they could be cured. I don’t want people to leave this country due to a disease named cancer, I want cancer people to be the role model for the future generation, I want them to realize that, TRCCA has at least tried to make cancer people dreams come true, I want to see their unconditional smile on them, and I want them to learn not to quit in life.
If I were to create TRCCA, I truly believe that I will make this nonprofit organization goals to be accomplished. This wouldn’t just benefit the cancer people by them being survived or the satisfaction for volunteers, further, it would also motivate many people doing similar things. I neither want them to be called cancer people nor to leave this world. I want them to be in the list of authentic people.
