On the way to become a better student in 2016 by Nessia - January 2016 Scholarship Essay

I am a foreign student, my only problem: I don't speak English like American students in my school.
For some people, it's just an inconvenient but I me it was a big handicap.
I'm already shy, so not being able to speak English without my accent like other people do really discourage me.
But I took a new resolution. I accepted the fact, I had an accent, I don't speak English well, I might have a poor reading comprehension but it won't stop me to keep being a good student at school. I will raise my hand every time I know the answer of the question the teacher ask, talk to people and ask question if I don't understand anything without being afraid of people making fun about my accent.
I predict , I might try to get in the theater's team of the school.
I'm really shy, but I think I will become less shy in the next following weeks if I keep following my resolution. Not being afraid of speaking in English will help me a lot and fortunately I'm sure I will success and being able to speak without what people might say about my accent or my mistakes .
