I have a dream. One day, there will be no fear.

Don’t be afraid.

This is a message to every human on this earth. It doesn’t matter if you’re rich, poor, young, or old- we all need to hear these words of comfort.

Just look back on your childhood and remember the times you would wake up from a nightmare. What were the words your ears long to hear? “Don’t be afraid.” These words calm our soul and help us realize there’s a bigger picture to our worry-filled lives.

We let fear consume us until every bit of sanity seeps out of our minds. Fear keeps us from living a life we only have one chance of having.

If you’re a senior like me you’re thinking about college. Everything about the unfamiliar chapter spells fear. You crowd your brain with doubt and worry so you can’t dream about all the great new experiences you’ll have.

Sure, life isn’t perfect and there will always be moments of fear but when those moment come wouldn’t it be nice to find comfort instead of anxiety, peace instead of worry, hope instead of doubt. Don’t let your fear get in the way of something great. Don’t be afraid.
