Describe an extracurricular activity you participated in for school and how it impacted you. by Murray - December 2013 Scholarship Essay

I participated in a Pro Life club at my former high school. The extracurricular activity really made an impact on my life because it painted a better picture of the meaning of life. I expressed my views about the subject after learning more about it from frequent meetings and literature reading about Abortion. I have learned that a life begins at the time of conception. A life is a very precious thing! We should never discount the meaning of life. We are all special. This does not make sense the abort a life because of a misfortunate circumstance whether planned or unplanned.

The whole club meant so much more to me since it provided me with a better understanding of the effects of abortion its effects to the innocent victim and the long-term significance it will play in the minds and hearts of the individuals and families involved in the horrific decision making option. I have shared information and pamphlets with members of the community as a means of a better understanding of the overall effects of abortion. There are always alternatives to an abortion such as putting the baby up for adoption. This method preserves a life and gives the innocent baby a chance to have a say in his/her existence.
