In 10 years ... by megan - March 2020 Scholarship Essay

Everybody has a different idea of what a 10-year career plan looks like. For me, the most important part is successfully completing college with a degree in Physical Therapy and getting a great job right out of college.
It is truly important to me that I finish college because I would love to get a job that I can be successful in to support myself and possibly a family for the future. I have always held the firm belief that in order to become successful, you must work hard to get there. Going into college, I will need to teach myself how to manage my time wisely. A big thing for me will be to find a balance between schoolwork and my social life. Along with completing college, I am looking forward to meeting people that will hopefully be my forever friends. Once I complete my 6 or so years of college, I will try my hardest to dive directly into a job. This way, I can get accustomed to the new environment so I can then begin looking to start a family. That has always been a big goal for me as well. From as early on as I can remember, I have always wanted to start my family. My parents have shown me such a beautiful example of what family truly means.
Not only completing college and getting a successful job, but also starting a family is all part of my 10-year plan. I do not believe that anyone ever has it all 100 percent planned out, but I will simply have to go with the flow and see where life takes me on my journey.
