It is not easy to identify all the positive impacts of technology in my classrooms because they have been so plentiful. However, I am beyond grateful for the opportunities it has provided for me and those around me.
Google Classroom has relieved a great amount of stress from many students due to the fact that most teachers make assignments due at 11:59 pm. This means that students do not have to stress if they did not finish an assignment in class. They can easily attach their work from a Google Doc and turn it in immediately when they finish. My school has a computer lab in the library, and this has allowed me to go in before school and print out papers that had to physically be turned in when my we were out of ink for the printer at the house. Another benefit of the lab has allowed me to help other students around me. If someone cannot be at school that day but an assignment is due, they have been able to share it with me and again I can go print it out for them and turn it it.
One more thing I am so grateful for is chrome books in our classes. This has made it convenient for working on papers in class, researching anything we need, and being on one website as a class together, such as Kahoot.
Learning that every school in America has access to the internet is a huge accomplishment for everyone, but I know that some are more privileged than others. I am so grateful for everything the internet has provided for me.
