Why would attending college be so important? You could get along in life just fine without a degree. Right? True, you would be able to survive in life without getting a degree. But, who wants to just "survive" through life? Going to college and getting a degree will open so many more doors of opportunity.
Have you ever looked at statistically how much more money you can make if you have a degree? On average people with bachelors degrees make $32,000 more a year than people who didn't go to college. If you ask me, that is the difference between surviving and living! When you look at it, four years of your life going to school, so you can make an extra $32,000 a year is worth it.
We all know the question, "What do you want to be when you grow up?". I don't know about you, but I don't know too many people who say their dream is to work at a fast food restaurant for the rest of their lives. when you go to college and get a degree you have so many more options of jobs, and they pay better than minimum wage.
So, is going to college important? Absolutely! If you want to live and not just survive. College might be one of the most important things you do in your life.
