The purpose of education is to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to be successful in the future in both their careers and their family lives. Without the proper tools, students would be lost in the working world and have no idea as how to be successful. Students of today are the workers of the future, and they are the people who will make our world a better place, so it is the job of an educator to make an effort to provide knowledge that can guide them to a bright and hopeful future.

Many jobs today require certain skills that are not taught generally to students. These jobs might require a certain educational path to succeed in, and that is why providing widespread and helpful education is important. Many schools offer special programs and classes that can help students achieve what is required of these jobs. These paths usually focus on jobs that are difficult and even dangerous to perform if done wrong, such as engineering or construction.
However, another important aspect of education is general teaching. Almost all jobs and careers require basic knowledge of the task at hand, such as knowledge of history for a job as a Historian or linguistic and literary skills as a writer. It is important that education provides information to students so that they are prepared with general information about the work world.

Along with this, general information provides students an early view as to what they are interested in doing for their future. Many subjects such as the sciences inform students about the topic at hand while trying to interest them so that they may work around that area of information in the future. It is vital that schools provide students with not only abundant but interesting education so that they may decide for themselves what they are interested in and how they will work in that field in their lives after school.

Education has many important roles in the lives of students that helps to mold them into driven and hardworking adults in the working world. Knowledge and skills, both general and specific, provides students the information they need to strive in the field of work they occupy. General teaching gives them a basic understanding of their world and how they can make an impact on it. Students must therefore be swayed by what they learn so that they can enjoy what they do in the future and strive at it as well. Without education, our society would not continue to build on what humanity has already done and fix and improve what previous humans have left behind.
