Organization Is The Key In 2016 by Karli - January 2016 Scholarship Essay

School is a challenge. From a young age, students are challenged to multi-task, and to learn to do it well if success is the ultimate goal. Over the years I have learned that the key to being successful other than hard work and determination, is organization. I have ADD, so for me this is critical.

When one lives with ADD, each task is more difficult than it is for those without ADD. For many years, I struggled and felt defeated. However, I have come to learn to appreciate the strong work ethic I have built over many years by having to work harder as I face the challenge every day of working and learning to be successful in the classroom. Being successful in the classroom has required me to be organized. My organization skills have improved over the years, but this year I plan on taking my organization skills to another level in preparation for college next year.

Obstacles can be overcome. Whether one is living with ADD/ADHD or another physical or medical ailment. With determination, hard work and organization, each individual has the ability to overcome. I will continue to work hard and be organized with success and determination, striving on until that college diploma rests in my hand after a job well done.
