I myself do believe that having leadership skills when interacting in any form of education is a highly important self aspect. Skills such as these will help you to achieve much greater in life in numerous ways. When it comes to having leadership skills it teaches you to succeed to your best ability. Not only do you want to achieve great things, but over achieve when possible. As a leader, you're also doing your best to teach others to do their best to succeed. Other students, and people in general, learn from leaders. If you're not a leader, you're more or less a follower. With leadership you will teach those followers to pave their own pathway and learn to succeed without the help of others. What greater feeling than to not only be successful, but to help others succeed.

To become a leader, you must have faith in yourself. You must want to succeed in order to succeed. To begin, leadership will help you in almost every class imaginable. It will help you to show your professor that you do care very much about your classes, and you're willing to do what it takes to get all your work done, and not only to get it done, but to finish it to the best of your ability. The more you show this, the better relationship you will build with your professor. This makes it easier to get help when needed, to ask questions, and to have a person standing behind you supporting your life dreams and goals.
