Two Incoming Freshman by Josheel - July 2014 Scholarship Essay
One of the teachers who had a very positive affect towards my education was my algebra teacher, Mrs. Evans. As I was an incoming freshman to Cathedral High School, she was a new teacher there as well. She always had a positive attitude each and every day, whenever I need help with my work I knew that I could count on her for support. I was always good in math, but there were times where there would be a problem that I felt that I couldn’t get past. Mrs. Evan always knew when I need help and there would be times where I didn’t ask for help at all, she would just know or sense when I was having trouble.
With new teachers you would never know what to expect from them or how their attitude would be throughout the year. But Mrs. Evans I just had a good feeling about. From my freshman year to my senior year, I knew that I could go to her for anything. She was always the one teacher that I knew she would never turn her back on the students or me. As I get ready for college, I know that Mrs. Evans isn’t going to be with me physically, but her support and caring attitude will always be with me.
