If I had a gap year it would most likely be to get more money for school. Sadly, getting an education is very expensive and I would like to go to an institution of my choice so I can enjoy my four years there as well. If I was taking a gap year it was only because I didn't have enough money to attend college. During this year I would get a job which would be much easier to work full time since I am not taking any classes. Working full time will allow me to earn more money and save it for school. Another thing I would do during this gap year is apply for more scholarships. Trying to apply for scholarships during my senior year was very stressful because I had to apply for college as well and keep my grades up in school. There were a lot of deadlines to meet and it became a lot of work for me. However during this year I would have much more time to apply for scholarships because the only other thing I would be doing is working. If I earned enough money but have not fully gone through the whole year I would love to study abroad in either Spain or China because I only know Spanish and Chinese. It would give me a different insight on how other girls get an education and how they are treated in different countries that might not have the same freedoms as I do here in America and reflect on how grateful I am to live in such a country.
