Describe a character from a book you have read and how he/she has influenced you. by Jennifer - April 2014 Scholarship Essay

Though this may be a fad book, the most recent series of books I read were the Twilight series and I would have to say that the main character, Bella, would have to have influenced me the most in my recent life. This is a story of love and commitment and because I have always held both to be of the utmost importance it was encouraging to see this portrayed in the general public.

This would not be a book or movie that you would think you can learn from; however, it does teach the importance and rewards to being committed to your beliefs and how far you can come with determination. Bella was loyal, faithful, and loving in all she did as well as a little stubborn in her ability to disregard her belief system. This is a lesson I believe we can all benefit from.

Though this is a fantasy story in a fantasy world the lessons that can be derived from this story are important. Bella was committed to what she believed in and stuck to it through the end. I am committed to my education in much the same way. I will see it through the end and make an excellent career helping many others in my path.
