The Person My Dog Thinks I Am by Hollee - July 2014 Scholarship Essay

The teacher that has positively affected my attitude toward education, is not a teacher that is found in a classroom. This teacher has molded me into the person I am today through motivation. Education is the key to success. The teacher that has affected my attitude is my dog.

My dog has taught me how to teach, love, read body language, be patient, and also responsibility. Dogs are amazing teachers. They look up to their owner. In a dog's eyes, you can do no wrong. No matter how much a dog is pushed around, it always looks up to its owner with love and admiration. This admiration has inspired and motivated me to live up to become who my dog thinks I am.

My dog has taught me many great lessons. Through these lessons, I have decided to become a teacher. I want to provide and education to the future of the community and teach my future students the lifelong lessons that my dog has taught me. I want to lead my students toward success through education. My dog has been one of the greatest teachers in my life. I strive each and every day to be the person my dog thinks I am.
