Thankful for my education by Fernanda - November 2020 Scholarship Essay
When I was younger, I dreaded going back to school after the weekends or a holiday break because I just wanted to stay home and spend all my time playing with my family. Monday was the day that I hated the most out of all the other days in the week. However, now that I look at the past I am very grateful to be able to go to school and be able to learn things. Going to school not only helped me learn many things, but it also made me understand how society works to better myself for the future. At school, you are able to communicate with different people and learn important communication skills that are necessary for future aspect in your life like getting a job your going to need to know how to communicate with different types of people with a higher rank than yourself or be respectful with different ages of people. Education doesn’t all come from the books you read, but also with the different things you see and hear in your surroundings.
We all have dreamt of being something when we were smaller but didn’t really know how to get there we were just intrigued with the thought of being known or someone special. When we were younger we didn’t really grasp the importance of education or why we even had to have it. Once, we grew up we found how to eventually know the process and steps needed to take to accomplish them once dreams that we had. Knowing the process and steps needed to take we get more motivation to accomplish those steps. Those needed steps most likely need some kind of education to accomplish the steps.
Attending school has taught me many things that have been very beneficial for me throughout these past years on many occasions as well. It has also opened my eyes to experience many things to help me decide what I want to do for my future career. It has also helped me learn how to communicate with different people and know the significance of diversity. I am very grateful for many aspects of my education that have allowed me to learn and experience many things. With all the different things that my education has allowed me to experience it has helped me better understand myself.
