Self-Empowerment Club by Fatima - September 2019 Scholarship Essay

If I had the chance to create a high school extracurricular activity it would be a self-empowerment club to help understand, love, grow, and to think of things from every angle and every way. I believe this extracurricular activity will empower many student, teachers, and life itself. To change the world around us, and to become a better person tomorrow. I will explain why and how this after school activity will change the environment around us and energy that people give out. I will explain how and why I know this will impact society itself and will be great.

To begin the self-empowerment club is to motivate the people within ourselves that we didn’t know was there. I believe everyone is powerful inside and I believe that not all people are confident enough to say or do what they believe what is right because of judgement. This club can be the place where people gain confidence and energy. This can be a place where peace and positivism is spread by listening to each and everyone’s struggles and stories and how or why that made them stronger, or how that brought them weakness. We can uplift one another and learn how to listen and help our peers escape the negative aspects of life.
I aspire to create the empowerment club because I know people just need someone to listen and give love back. With knowing people out there care and believe in you can change every way that you see life every day. The self-empowerment club can learn how build off starting off from your environment. Especially the space where you live impacts on how you feel and take things in, so the club will plant trees and write down negative things that they would love to make positive from the way they think to the way the wake up in the morning.
Lastly this club can help the ones in need and give to people. I believe people who learn to give more than what they receive grow to be hard working and successful people. As part of changing the environment around us we need to start with ways we view things. Taking actions instead of waiting for someone to make changes around you and teaching everyone that if we have dreams we must take action now and not wait for time to pass by. Every day the club gathers together shall there be a lesson. For us and the future we will have and the future that will be, I BELIEVE.
Thank you.
