Having the opportunity of a gap year would give me the option to improve on my art style. Finding my own design concepts have been enlightening. The sketches I have accumulated so far have increased immensely. Given the extra time would allow me to enhance the final details of hands, and natural flowing body movement. I am aware of my weaknesses and would like to improve upon them for the future. Daily practice would allow significant development.
Receiving a gap year prior to college would create an opportunity to complete and accomplish my art portfolio. Adding to the existing sketches and beginning ideas would enrich and round out my abilities to complete multiple tasks. Proficiency in a variety of techniques would boost my capabilities for any job opportunities in the future.
Creating storyline concepts would also be another asset gained if given extra time. The inception of a comic takes time. The details and character back stories also take time to write as well as draw out. Sketching the possibilities of each person, outline their part in the comic and their story would be a significant achievement. A gap year would provide time, knowledge and opportunities to add to my current designs possibly even the chance for the storyboard of a comic to begin.
