They always said "everything happens for a reason, Lizz" by Elizabeth - February 2014 Scholarship Essay

Everything happens for a reason.

All my life I’ve seen tragedy all around me. People fail, disappear, and die. That’s life, but over and over again I live by one quote; everything happens for a reason. This means all of the bad things that occur, are supposed to mean something and possibly make you stronger. I think this is always the reason. When I fail, I learn. When people leave or die, I learn to move on, but never forget. When bad things happen, you’ve got to learn to embrace that and do better and learn. Life is a lesson and everything you do, determines your next move.

When I hear this quote, I always think of what is there to learn and why should I learn from this. When I hear this quote, I think that it’s time to overcome whatever is going on in your life. No one said life was going to be easy and it’s definitely not. Everyone fails and nobody’s perfect. People have to live and learn, by that I mean try things and learn from those mistakes or successes. No one has time to worry about the little things because life is short, so whatever you chose to do, will lead on to what happens next. No one knows what will actually happen next, but the fact of the matter is that whatever is to come is for a reason. One thing will affect the next because life is one big butterfly effect. Things happen for a reason because it’s your decision that leads the path to your future. In the end, fate will happen and that will bring you through life, but you just have to remember that whatever comes next, is a for a reason.
