The challenges of going through school for twelve years can be overwhelming at times. Knowledge and a good work ethic can open the path for opportunities to grow and make a difference in this world.

Academics have been my only responsibility and a top priority to me because it creates a strong foundation. I want to fulfill it to the best of my ability. Ever since I started school I have put a lot of effort into my work and learning. Starting in high school I began to take more challenging courses, including honors and AP classes, in order to prepare myself for college. My hard work paid off when I made the top ten of my class.

The top ten is one of my great academic achievements because I have always worked extremely hard in school and always applied myself. Previously I had not given any thought to the class ranking, and my desire is to work harder and gain knowledge. The top ten acknowledged the fact that I have put a lot of effort and consider school an important priority

This academic accomplishment has impacted me personally and academically. Although being successful in school will always be my goal and priority, the top ten gives me an extra motivation and desire to succeed. It boosts my confidence and gives me another goal to reach. It is a reward for all of my hard work. The top ten will also help me in the future by opening up more opportunities for acceptances into colleges. I will be able to obtain more scholarships that will help in deciding which college to go to and allowing the possibility of double majoring in something that I really enjoy.

Achieving the top ten is something to reflect upon at this moment but what I can do to make this world a better place in the future is my goal. Being in the top ten will give me the opportunity to be a closer step toward accomplishing my goals.
