Success in itself is a hard thing to define because it’s different to so many people in so many ways. To some people it means money, others it is friendship. It can also apply to many different things. However, to me, I define success as being able to be happy in the field you apply yourself in. If you aren’t happy in the field you are working in whether it be art, music, science, architecture, and beyond, then it isn’t really worth it. It’s not healthy and if you aren’t happy in your career, then you should do something that does make you happy.
Success in college to me means to be able to apply the skills you learn and pursue what makes you happy as a career. It’s the next step up in your life after high school where you can take on better opportunities and express yourself through the courses to decide to take. Without college, people would be at a disconnect with what they want to do later in their life. I feel like without college, people wouldn’t be able to do what makes them happy. This is why I think to be successful is to pick a job or hobby that makes you happy, it should be something you are passionate about and pursue it as a career.
