There is only one character that has influenced me to be the person I want to become. This strong woman is from my favorite book My Blue Suede Shoes. She’s known to be a fierce diva, caramel slim goddess, and an amazing TV show host. She’s also troubled but a determined mother with the nature of being very hard working. Her name is Mrs. Christine Smart also known as CiCi Smart, the face of the most popular gossip TV show Breakin’ It Down. She influences me because she’s a struggling but dedicated mother, successful, filled with determination and forgiveness.

CiCi Smart has been that ordinary child and teenager looking for a way out of the ghetto. She finally finds her way out and becomes the hottest TV host known throughout the world. I say this because even though she came from a broken house hold, coming up she managed to become something. She influences me to want to keep my head up and strive for my dreams with no limitations. CiCi Smart’s character helps me stop blaming my past for me not trying hard enough, and put forth the effort to getting where I want to be. I am influenced by this character just by the dignity she shows in her character while going through the situations she’s facing every day. She is a successful woman trying to make something out of her life and that’s what I want.

Mrs. CiCi Smart was shown through her character that she is a traumatized young woman that’s carried her pain through her adult years. She also showed that even though she has so much pain built up inside she can be a great mother. This part of Mrs. Smart influenced me to try and leave me past in the past to better my future. She influences me to be the best mother I can be and love harder from my lack of parental affection. I find this to be hard to do even as a woman because we are so emotional. I’m influenced by this because she turned from being a terrible person and mother into this kind hearted and careful human being. It shows that even as an adult we make mistakes, but we have to learn how to grow from them because there are little ones looking up at us.

Last but not least, she is a big influence because of the will to be so forgivable and determined to show her true emotion. I find this influential because most people are known to hold grudges over situations they don’t want to face. Mrs. Smart held a grudge over her mother’s head from an early age in her childhood from her mother abandoning her to be on drugs. That caused a big gap in their relationship as she became this successful mother trying to cover up her scars through media. Soon she realized that she needed her mother to be there for her and her daughter Alize, and that the pain should no longer hold her back from being the woman she needs to become. Through all of her pain she managed to stop holding her grudge and allow her mother into her life. This influences me to learn to love to forgive but never forget the things that occurred. It helps me realize time goes by fast and all you have is now so make the best out of what you have left.

She is a good role model when she starts realizing that life is short so live today and plan for a tomorrow. I believe that if she could overcome so many trials in her life I can do the same but better. Mrs. CiCi Smart has made an impact on my life when it comes to the future I want to achieve and make the best out of. I've found a connection and used the information from her life and applied to mine. I want to become the successful woman, mother, and daughter I live to be. I understand that everything doesn’t go as planned in life but to keep my head held high and keep moving forward knowing that tomorrow isn’t promised and you leave this earth with the last things you left behind.
