This book does an excellent job of outlining what it takes to gain respect and be respected by your subordinates. It also demonstrates what it takes to be an exceptional leader. Both of these are essential in the work force and life after high school. The heart-warming story of LT. Micheal Murphy's service to this country will serve as a substantial learning tool for all us.

I chose this book because my goal is to get commissioned as an O-1 Ensign in the United States Navy. As a future Naval officer of our beautiful countries military, Bravery, moral clarity, integrity, and camaraderie are important traits/components that will be the framework of my career. I am the imminent leader of our United States military, the characteristic and standards to which I uphold myself will serve a greater purpose in the near future. My nation expects me to lead with nothing less than the up most discipline.

The vital lesson woven throughout this book can be a great tool for helping newly graduated high school students get a head start in their careers all while aiding them in their creation self worth, to better prepare them for the future ahead.
