This essay discusses the the definition of success according to college or graduate school. College or graduate school can equally be tough for anyone who tries to make anything of themselves, especially if you are the first one in your family. What college to me means that I am trying to make something of myself, and that I want to achieve my goal of helping others in life, because at that point I would know that I was successful. You focus so much on the part that you are trying to make your family happy that you forget that you are really doing this for you and no one else. You need to do what is best for you and only you, and don't let what other people say hinder your decisions.

Success can mean many different things to many different people, but to me it means finding what you want to do in life and achieving it. Others go into college thinking that they need to do what other people have done to make them successful, but in the end as long as you have something that makes you happy and something that you enjoy doing, you are successful.

In conclusion, success in college or graduate school can only be defined by you and what your goals in life are with that career. Not anyone's opinion about you or what you are doing with your life. As long as you are happy doing what you do, that is all that matters.
