Leadership skills are very important for you to have in college. Why? Because without them how are you supposed to make friends or be someone that everyone wants help and advice from. Without leadership skills you will not have very many friends or much of a social life. A leader is someone everyone can connect with and trust.

Leaders are people who are passionate. Passionate people are hard working people and will try very hard to get good grades and work towards their dreams. Leaders with passion also have big hearts and really care about their friends. You cannot get through college without friends.

Responsibility is also another good leadership skill to have. To be responsible is to be able to show up at class on time, write your papers, do your homework, and take notes. It is something every person should have, especially if they are going off to college. People at college have to be able to take care of themselves and that requires responsibility.

One more leadership skill you should have is a good influence. A good influence means that you are able to motivate other people and yourself to do the right thing. You influence people to stay home and study instead of going out and partying, or keep them from making stupid mistakes. Everyone needs someone who is a good influence or else something terrible might happen to them.

Yes, leadership skills are important to have for college in every aspect of it. Without them you will not be able to get through it.
