The purpose of an education by Astrid - April 2015 Scholarship Essay

In my opinion, I believe that the purpose for an education is to prepare students in order for them to prosper in life. I believe in my opinion because teachers are passionate about teaching, they care enough about their students to teach them the basic educational needs in order for them to proper in life. Not just prosper but to guide them into making this world a better change.

Education has been taught in this world since the very beginning and maybe if education wasn't important then where would we be? who would we be? Education is important because it helps us to become the person we are meant to be. We are all meant to have an education. There are kids in this world who aren't privileged enough to even get an education, even if they truly want it. If students are educated then they could even teach those unprivileged kids something that could change their lives.

If a student is educated then that student can take what they learned and teach others. Everyone learns something new everyday even if they didn't know it. We are educated everyday even if it's a small thing. Small things could turn into big things like William Shakespeare's writing and Galileo's theories. An education gives students possibilities in this world. Some could even discover a theory that could have a bigger meaning someday because of education.

I believe that the purpose for an education is to prepare students for the real world out there and to teach others in this world. Education is a good thing and we all experience everyday even if we didn't know it.
