The best classroom is an interactive classroom. I believe that classrooms should help students be more interactive in the content that they teach. For instance, students solve math problems in front of the class for math classes, Chemistry students using real chemicals, and doing practical experiments. However, for me, I want an astronomy classroom.

An astronomy classroom for me would make the best use of telescopes and planetariums. When students have a direct connection to the subject, they feel more engaged and more dedicated to the class. I apply to that group as well. I believe that classrooms should be able to make their rooms more engaging. Facilitating a learning environment means to give students a reason to pay attention in the class. A bland classroom where teachers and professors merely talk about the subject matter is bound to make students bored and tired. Having students engage with the class itself will see better results. I do not think that the casual motivational poster will cause students to be motivated with the subject matter.

Before students go to college, they had classrooms with some motivational posters and posters themed with the subject of the class. These posters are merely eye candy and serve more as a distraction for students who get bored in class. An engaging classroom is a perfect motivation for students on its own. I know that when I was younger, those posters drew my attention away from the teacher, who was talking to the class. I understand that this does not apply to some people, but many people in this country saw education as more of a chore than an opportunity when they were younger.

With changes to the usual classroom formula, students will have more motivation to learn about math and science. With a more engaging classroom, students like me will excel more in life, possibly becoming leaders in their profession. The pre-adult and young adult years of people's lives are when society sets the foundation for the next generation. These years are crucial to people, and we must do something to make that experience better for others. I believe that an active classroom is the best classroom. These classrooms are the ones that I cherished when I was younger, and the ones that I value today.
