Taking chances is what high school is all about. You have to open up and come out of your comfort zone. Either it's getting the guts to ask that pretty girl out or standing up for that bullied kid. We have to take chances and be courageous.

In the book "Fault In Our Stars" by John Green, Hazel Grace Lancaster is a very bold/couragous girl. She shows us just cause she has a life threatening illness she can still do activities in life. She proved the doctors wrong that she could go to Amsterdam or that she could walk the flight of stairs in the Anne Frank House Museum. Hazel is a very strong soul and will do anything that a normal person can do. She will fight whatever gets in her way. Teenagers always get caught up in trying to "be cool" in high school and forget to be bold and stand up for themselves and others. If we all focus on being ourselves and not trying to impress others and be courageous we won't have to worry about "being cool". It doesn't matter what others think, only what you think and believe. Life is all about getting out there and doing what you want.
