Just as we must nourish our body, we must nourish our mind, it is our duty as thinking beings. Preparing academically is important for several reasons; One of them is to ensure that our community has more professionals day by day in order to grow as a society.
Personally, the university was always important to me, it was like a dream, to be able to know new things, to be able to learn, to expand my lexicon, to be better every day than I was yesterday.
My mother once told me not to study just to pass an exam, she told me that I should study for life, she told me that education was the only way I could change the world, improve it, would lead me to prosper in adversity.
The university teaches us, prepares us, leads us to a better future, a future where ignorance has no place, where illiteracy has been successfully fought.
The only thing that defends us in today's world is no longer our surname or our color or where we come from, what defends us is our knowledge and wisdom which can only be forged by studying. As Francis Bacon once said "The sovereignty of man is hidden in the dimension of his knowledge."
All people have potential, we have a flame within us, it is up to us if we want to extinguish it or make it burn more and more so that one day it will serve as a guiding light, the university is the place that helps us keep our flame burning, and make it bigger every day.
