Are leadership skills really required for college? The answer is yes, why? It's required because leadership will be part of the career you will study. People think leadership isn't required for college success well they are wrong. Leadership in college success is what determines whether you will have a bright future, be the hammer or the nail, and what companies look for when you are in an interview for a career.

First, leadership skills will determine whether you have a bright future because leadership is a portion of your career. For example, if a person were to be a police officer then he or she would need some leadership in order to keep situations calm. If the person has no leadership skills then the situation would turn into a big chaos scene. It will determine whether you have a bright future because leadership is needed in today's workforce.

Second, leadership skills will determine whether you are the "hammer or the nail." The "hammer" usually means people that are in charge of situations. The "hammer" people always have leadership skills. These group of people end up being successful because companies need people in charge of things to keep everything in order. In the other hand "nail" means the people that get pushed around a lot and that are afraid of being judged for what they do. These people are the kind of people that companies don't look for.

Last, leadership skills is what companies look for to hire an individual. To companies leadership skills is what makes the individual different from the rest of the people. Companies need a leader in their group. Someone who isn't afraid of talking and will lead other individuals to a path of success and hopefully also turn them into leaders too. That is what companies really look for in an individual.

Overall, leadership skills are needed to be successful in life. Leadership can determine whether you have a bight future. "Be the hammer or the nail" meaning the leader or the weakling. Also companies look leadership in an individual to lead other people to success. We need more leaders in our society to make a difference.
