Are leadership qualities necessary for college success? Some say that leaders are shown everywhere and this needs to be reinforced in college to ensure good leaders in the work place or in real life situations. Others say that leadership qualities do not need to be in everyone in order to be successful. Leadership qualities are very necessary for reaching goals, everyday life, and college success.

Leadership plays a prominent role in our society today and is needed for successful lives. Leadership is seen in everyday life. Whether it is with scouting, clubs, or even sports. Everywhere you go there is a leader somewhere in the event. Leaders can provide a sense of direction, and help those in need. Having these leadership qualities will ensure success because many people will follow you or look to you in their time of need.

In the work place when an employee needs help they look to their manager. When the manager needs help they look to their boss. This chain is a hierarchy in which those who show tremendous skill in being proactive in their community and in their environment. Good leadership qualities could make people reach their potential to be a better problem solver, be motivational, be inspiring, being supportive, helping the team focus, and many other things.

On the other hand, some would say that there are still successful people in real life situations even though they did not have leadership qualities. However, everyone has some type of leadership quality within themselves, whether it is being dedicated, or caring, or brave, or any of these. Some may also say that people can still be successful in the work place without leadership qualities; that statement is true to an extent. On the other hand, the leaders take more initiative and are knowledgeable, reliable people. Nine times out of ten they are chosen stead of those who do not possess these qualities.

Leadership is a necessary factor for college success, reaching goals and in everyday life. Even though some believe that success is needed without leadership, more people are still being hired if they have better leadership skills. This can show that a person is credible, accountable, and challenging. The leader will get the job done.
