What I wanted To Be When I Was Six And How it has evolved through eduction by allyson - June 2017 Scholarship Essay

When I was a six year old I wanted to be a doctor. The reason why is because I have always been fascinated with going to the doctor office and also because tbe doctor can save your life and make you feel better and correct problems you have that you normally do not notice. When I was fourteen I knew for sure I wanted to be an Orthopedic, because when I thirteen I had a leg surgery on my right foot at Shriners hospital for children's that broke my femur and tibia to correct my knees turning in and my feet turning out.
When I had a post operation appointment it turned out my foot got infected and I had four more surgeries. I missed two months and two weeks of school. I Had to get tutored to help me catch up but I was sure glad to get caught up. I did however get to learn what it takes to be an orthopedic. In fall of 2014 my leg busted back open and I had two more surgeries in January, 2015 at Harrisburg Illinois Medical center. that was a month out of school.
The real evolvement through out my education was this past year, my junior year. My foot started to become infected again and this were I had ten surgeries and spent an equivalent of a month at St.Louis Children's hospital.
I am now seventeen and I still want to be an orthopedic. I am still battling foot problems on my right foot but I have learned so much over the pass three years of my life and going through high school while battling my leg is quite the challenge but it has evolved so much through school and through staying at the hospital.
