One Teacher Can Make A Big Difference by Alexandra - October 2019 Scholarship Essay

Teachers have always made an exponential impact on my life. They have always helped me the best they can, whether that be with school work, or personal life issues, as long as I do my part.
Although, in my 9th and 10th grade years, I had one specific teacher who always went out of her way to give me the best advice and encouragement that she had. This was my English teacher.
Anytime I was incredibly stressed and did not know what to do in a tough situation that I was put in, I would always come to her and ask for advice. She would always give me a plan to run by, and when I followed it, I was always successful. Sometimes she just listened to me whenever I needed a shoulder to cry on. Ever since I've known her and have heard, listened to, and applied all of the advice she has given me, I have been able to take self-action with future situations.
School work wise, her knowledge of the English subject has assisted me with all of the assignments given to me by her in her class, always explaining the answers to my questions in an effective way. I'm most definitely a better student in my English classes.
I feel as if I have become a harder working individual in my personal life and my studies because of the knowledge she has passed on to me. I am so much more confident with school and no longer doubt myself. I am so very grateful for this.
