Are leadership skills necessary for college? People all have their different perspectives on it. Personally, I think you should have strong leadership skill when entering the new world of college. Being a leader isn’t easy, you have to be strong in what you believe in such as your morals and your values, but with that you have to have a good head on your shoulders.

College isn’t going to be all fun and games; there will be peer pressure and a lot of stress but that just comes along with the new lifestyle. When life throws you a curve ball you have to be ready for it, when the stress of college start to fall on you, being prepared and staying calm is all you can do. Stay positive, be organized and just taking life as it comes with out stressing over the little things.

Peer pressure is a huge thing when you get into college. Someone says, “Want a beer?” You have your own morals that you live by and you have to be able to say no with out feeling bad about it. You have to stand strong and know that even if people don’t agree with what you like it doesn’t matter. Being a leader isn’t always going to be an easy thing but with out leadership skills you’ll fall easier into the peer pressure, you might even let the stress get the better of you which will affect you in the long run.
