While in college, it is essential to know how to prioritize your daily activities so that you are on track for both short and long term goals during what may be the biggest turning point in your life. Up until college, you were able to rely heavily on your parents for help with prioritization.

This is even more truthful, if you are living away from home for the first time. You will have more freedom than ever before and it will up to you to make sure you balance all of the different aspects of college life including extra-circular activities, your class work, your finances and possibly an internship or job.

If you are unsuccessful in maintaining your priorities during this time, it can set the course of how you will set your priorities after graduation. Having poor prioritization skills during college can cause havoc both during and after school. It is not to say that if you have poor prioritization skills in college that you can guarantee havoc afterwards, but you will have to work to learn how to maintain your priorities later. It is much better to learn these skills during college.

During college, you will grow leaps and bounds as you learn more of the person that you are going to be as an adult. It is important that during college that you try new and exciting things.
