What makes my future college unique by Abigail - August 2020 Scholarship Essay

All colleges feature something that other colleges might not have such as a new fitness center or a brand new football stadium but I believe that new physical resources aren't as important as the community that it provides. At my dream college, it provides a sense of community and acceptance that everybody strives to have. They not only are accepting and encouraging to the incoming freshman, but they truly want to get to know everyone on a personal level. People go through life in a routine whether it be going to school or work but my future college mixes that up to get people out of their comfort zone. They have community gatherings to help others through life. Yes it may seem that all the "new and improved" signs and new eye catching buildings are great but why have that new equipment if you have no true community to share it with? We aren't meant to go through life alone, that is why we need true community and friends and all this can start by going to my dream college.
Another thing that my dream college will encourage a sense of passion for your intended major. The professors are not dull about coming to teach everyday, instead, they are passionate and excited about coming to teach young minds.
