Those who are most interested in wanting to see you succeed by A'danyah - November 2020 Scholarship Essay

The question was asked, “what aspect of your education are you most thankful for?” Being an 11th grader in high school I would say I have many things I've been thankful for; however, this one means the most to me. That is my teachers, the teachers that I have met over the years of learning and growing, the ones present in my life now, and the ones to come. It’s so funny how a person who's a stranger to you in the beginning of the school year can become someone with such an influence on your life. Teachers are truly the superb when it comes to the interest of our education and they truly deserve much more respect then they receive.
Over the years, so many of my educators have made it their top priority to do whatever ever they need to not only help me but also my peers. Beside my parents I’ve never had anyone be so interested and so invested in my education. Since, I’ve became a high school student and the time for me to go off to college has grown near. Teachers have thrown information my way since the very beginning, whether it be certain scholarship opportunities, programs I might be interested in, even if it was something in house that allowed us to get community service hours. They have always been the ones to notify us and let us know what is going on, and I am so thankful for that because it really shows how much they care and how much they are invested in our education. If it wasn’t for one of my teachers I would have never heard about “Varsity Tutors” and most likely wouldn’t have been writing this essay right now.
However, it isn’t about money I’m just thankful that I received this opportunity to let whoever may be reading know that teachers are strong mentally and physically, and they mean the world to me. In multitude of ways they deserve way more then they get, because they treat their students much as if how they would treat their children. For them to take on such a job, and having to teach more than one student at a time, making sure everyone understands, and even going beyond as having office hours after school for one on one confrontations for those who might’ve been scared to speak up in class. I give them my upmost respect because it is so tiring and to have the will to do it almost every single day is nearly unimaginable.
To conclude, I am most thankful for my teachers. Those who not only teach me, but also share with me moral values that I should have going into the world. Those who are human as I am, who eat, sleep, and breath just as I do but it seems impossible with how much work they have on their plate. I am so grateful to have such caring people surrounding me, who check up on me and make sure I am fine it is really a blessing. There is nothing more to ask for besides life itself then to have someone so invested into your wellbeing; therefore, I beg to ask the question What does (did) your educator mean to you?
