Edward

Certified Tutor

Hi! I'm Dr. Ed M. from New York City and I am excited to meet you.

For the past 19 years I worked for New York City public schools and have taught hundreds of students, many who are new to learning English. I am proficient in curriculum programs such as Envisions Math, Amplify Science, Into Reading, and many more. I am trained in Orton-Gillingham "science of reading" methodology and "Algebra for All" math skills.

And while I have experience teaching students as young as four years old, I also specialize in teaching advanced learners AP subjects such as History, English, Math and many other subjects.

I also am proficient in test prep for many important exams, including the SAT, ACT, NYC Specialized High School Exam, Catholic School High School Exams, and many others.

I received my doctoral degree from Columbia University majoring in Curriculum and Teaching, meaning I am well-trained in developing learning materials and also delivering them in a way that reaches all students. My students always learn a lot but we have fun too.

I can't wait to meet you!
