I graduated from Mercy College in Dobb's Ferry, NY with a Master degree in Education. I taught for New York Public Schools for 8 years. In my teaching career I taught students age 5 to 21 years old. The majority of my time was spent teaching students with disabilities in a special ed setting. Prior to teaching full-time I was a substitute teacher in the state of Florida where I worked in Elementary, Middle and High School settings.
One of my specialties is creative writing, which I taught for 5 years.
I currently work part-time in the mental health field and 25% of my clients are challenged with ADHD. I've come across quite a lot of people who were living with ADHD and they didn't know it until they started working with me. I've been able to help then with executive functioning skills that have been impactful for them.
My belief is that with dedication and effort one can achieve anything that they want. It first starts with mindset.
