Certified Tutor

I studied Political Science, International Relations and Ethics at Shaw University and then went on to get an English teaching certification from Oxford Seminars. I worked with students shortly in Richmond, Virginia in High School and foreign transfer exchange students from Virginia Commonwealth University before moving to Istanbul, Turkey to work in a couple of language schools and even an elementary school there. I went on to work at language schools in Amman, Jordan and Guadalajara, Mexico before landing my dream job at a very nice primary and secondary academy in Mexico City, Mexico teaching English and History. Through these years, I've learned to put my students first and to take my time to better understand their needs rather than simply following the course of some book. I've noticed greater improvement in my students whenever I've taken an extra day to go over a topic and to give them games, trivia or projects on it. My philosophy has always been to use what you know to learn something new.
