Certified Tutor

I received my Masters Degree in Montessori Elementary Education from Barry University in Miami, Florida. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Languages and International Affairs with an emphasis in French and Spanish from the University of Puget Sound. Since graduation, I have traveled and lived in various countries including Honduras, France, Mexico, and New Zealand. In many of these countries I started up my own Montessori school. I have taught and tutored elementary and high school students in all core subjects in Florida, Texas, Hawaii, and New Mexico. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English, French, Spanish, Math, and History. I learned to speak French while living abroad my Junior year in High School. I learned Spanish when I worked at a bilingual school in Cuernavaca, Mexico and while living and working in Honduras. I have always been passionate about teaching and sharing my knowledge to others. I started tutoring my younger cousins when they wanted to learn French, and then ended up teaching my Aunts and Uncles when they saw what a great opportunity it was! I have since tutored many students in French, Spanish, Math, History and Writing. In my experience helping struggling students, I have strived to have fun while working hard to achieve a firm understanding of the subject matter. I believe education to be at the core of a happy life, a successful society, and a way to open more doors to a student's future. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, yoga, snow skiing, snorkeling, and biking.
