I am studying Early Childhood Special Education at Eastern Illinois University. I am working toward a Bachelors degree in Education and I have a minor in Spanish. I have 2 years of experience of clinical practicum observing and working in schools. I have also tutored peers in ACT prep and Spanish. I tutor ACT prep, Spanish, ELL, college application essays, elementary school reading and writing, English grammar and syntax, essay editing, and middle school reading and writing. My favorite subject to tutor is Spanish because I am able to keep my skills sharp. My teaching philosophy is that every student is unique and every student can learn. I like to individualize my lessons so that my students get the most out of my instruction. I keep a very positive attitude about my work. Outside of school, I am a big fan of stand-up comedy. I am obsessed with coffee, I know the difference between every bean and love trying out new coffee shops. I enjoy reading poetry and autobiographies about people who inspire me.
