Certified Tutor

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, and received a bachelors of science in chemistry from York College, the City University of New York. I moved to Dallas in the summer of 2014 to further my education and I am currently pursing an M.D/Ph.D degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

I first became a tutor as a freshman in undergrad, helping my peers through topics we had learned in class. Since then I have tutored students for about 5 years, in subjects ranging from elementary math to physical chemistry. One of my favorite things about tutoring, especially in chemistry, is that moment when everything clicks and the student gets that aha! moment. I enjoy presenting information using engaging analogies and relatable examples, which makes the learning process intellectually stimulating and fun.

During my free time, I enjoy hiking, jogging, and swimming. I also like to try new foods and have different types of coffee. I also enjoy reading comics/mangas, playing chess, and spending time with my cat, Fuzzy.
