Brian
Certified Tutor
I enjoy helping students of all ages with standardized test prep (ACT, SAT, GRE, GED, PRAXIS, and TOEFL) or with traditional school subjects like reading, social studies, and history. I am a freelance writer, so I particularly like assisting students in that area. I am very devoted to my students and try to employ humor, scholarship, and attention to detail into every tutoring relationship.

What is your teaching philosophy?
Usually, the first session is a brief review of what has worked, or not worked, in prior tutoring relationships, if applicable. Next, I prioritize the goals of the student. I also will give pre-test material to provide a baseline and to hone my teaching plan.
