Certified Tutor

I am passionate about helping students because I myself struggled with math when I was younger and now that I have the skills to understand it better, I want to help more people do the same. For a year, I taught elementary school students math online and every now and then, I helped my high school friends in math whenever they needed the help. I recently graduated with my Associate degree from Highline College, and I am currently pursuing my Bachelor's at the University of Washington. My degree is mechanical engineering, which requires a high level of mathematics. This allows me to confidently teach algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus 1-4. My favorite subjects to teach would be algebra because it is very familiar, geometry because I understood the most, and calculus 2 because it has a lot of real world applications. As a tutor, I always make sure that I am as knowledgeable as I can be so that I do not misguide my students. I am also reliable and punctual. A huge part of my tutoring style is patience and understanding. If my student is feeling overwhelmed or does not understand a concept, I would calmly redirect them by trying a different approach.
