I am a graduate of Eastern Washington University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a focus on Literacy. Since graduation, I have started substitute teaching in different elementary and middle schools throughout my local school district. I have taught every grade up to 8th and all required subjects (math, science, language arts, and history) along with electives such as drama, choir, and leadership classes. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Literature, being the most passionate about teaching students how to take a text their reading and make it their own and make it something interesting to them. I am a firm believer in education, believing it to be needed for an improved quality of life. I try to impart this idea to all of my students.
