The idea of supporting and serving youth is one that I am passionate about. My extensive experience in the fields of business, education, and philanthropy has given me the opportunity to put this idea into practice on a daily basis. I have practiced law on Wall St., taught in urban, suburban, and inner city schools, and serve on the board of the non-profit Global Community for Education, allowing me to work with diverse populations that truly represent cultures from around the globe. The idea of community, through modeling citizenship, critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills, is the foundation of my working life.

I have recently been certified to teach English as a foreign language, and have extensive classroom teaching experience. I have taught a wide variety of humanities courses across numerous grade levels. Throughout my teaching career I have mastered teaching techniques to reach students with diverse backgrounds and abilities, and have developed effective classroom management techniques focusing on individual responsibility and community building. My process-oriented approach helps students develop the skills they need to be successful at any level. In addition, I have been active in all aspects of school life, including advisory programs, drafting school policies, developing curriculum scope and sequence, and mentoring new faculty members. Moreover, my experience as an active Board member of an education non-profit gives me a broader perspective on the necessity for supporting education.

Although I am currently retired, I have over two decades of teaching experience, and look forward to bringing fresh energy and enthusiasm to my work every day. My wide-ranging interests and experiences are a valuable resource that I am eager to share.
